We just reached the capital city of Canada. At first, I do not have any intention to set my foot here because it did not cross my mind to find out what is the capital city of Canada furthermore to visit it. I was more into Quebec region (because of the tree houses I saw online in Winter). And of course, my initial plan was only to visit Montreal for one week to meet J. That is it. But then she suggested we go here. Visit this place. According to her, she used to work and stay here and it is a nice place.
It is now already going to 3pm. There was a massive traffic jam and expressway closure hence the late time we reach. The journey from downtown Montreal where we were when we collect our rental car to Ottawa was supposed to be only 2 hours. We left around 11am and it is nearly 4 hours journey. By the way, the rental car from Enterprise was awesomely luxury and huge. I booked the Hyundai Avante but they gave us a new Ford Fush 2019. First time I used Enterprise Rent-A-Car and thumbs up for the first one. I cannot wait to try driving my dream car, Jeep Wrangler in British Columbia.
(Side Note: I tried test drive Jeep Wrangler in Singapore but it was the smaller version. I just want to be a Tomb Raider)
Check-in in this hotel was smooth. The front desk guy was super generous. He gave us an upgrade to deluxe room which initially during the online booking months ago I asked J whether she wants the bigger version of the room. Back to basic. But then this was so cool. I guessed it was also because he realised we had additional guest with us, J's friend from France to join us last minute. Since I only gave a last minute decision he can join us for the night since we reached too late and also I realised he is a nice person, probably that is why we get a larger room. Or maybe, just because I am a guest from Singapore that is what J said. Anywayyyy.... this room is so beautiful and also luxury. With two large single beds. The cot we requested for Q was also good for him. There are 2 toilets. One with the bath and another just a common luxury toilet which is also good for three of us in terms of sharing. Now I do not regret listening to J's suggestion to stay in this hotel - Fairmont Le Chateau Laurier, Ottawa.
Funny..I thought this will be awkward. I have never shared hotel rooms with friends except with Min Min during our Secondary School Thailand's trip 20 years ago. But well so far so good.
By the way, my jet-lag and not sleeping properly for the past nights are still manageable. Okay, we are leaving now to go find food for lunch and walk around and check out the parliament building and this area. J will lead us though.
We are heading to dinner in awhile around 8pm. J said she will bring us to the Village (LGBT/Gay Village) to buy something and we will have dinner at a Taco restaurant. Meanwhile, I need to think about some suggestion these two gave me while I am in this country which will be a once in a lifetime experience. Q said it seems I am curious. Yes I am but on the other hand not sure a little bit worried of its effect especially if I am not able to control it.
Wow..total steps today.. 21,000++. Woweets. Can you believe it? Okay minus the probably 5k when in Montreal this morning walking from my apartment to collect the car. So we had dinner in El Camino. I love the ambience of that place. The taco was nice fitting my craving for taco since the past months. And we walked and walked to also places where I will never go if I am alone. Too quiet and dark.
There was this moment just now...I have never expected that someone who is a woman could carry me, who is damn heavy for sure (do not ever dare to ask my weight). Really J you are so strong.
Meanwhile, I could feel that the chemistry reaction in my body is starting to react. Just now it was fine. I think I should log out of writing now before I blabbered something else.
(Chemistry formula at the moment: Jetlag + Vitamin C + No sleep for 2 days + S'tarch)
