Yesterday’s chemical imbalance was intense and I was new to that feelings. The last part of the night apart from feeling like I want to cry, I remembered I called AirBnb to advise me how to download the app for my Toronto’s accommodation. I intentionally tried to annoyed J and Q with that 4am call since this is partly their fault. So many moments happened and I could not even described it here. But it was totally a new experience. The breakfast at Wilf and Ada's was fine and seats were fully occupied. Since I still have no appetite yet, I could not really enjoy the Poutine which is the signature dish of Canada. I could only finish half of it. If you ever come to Canada, please try it. Seriously, now I am not sleepy neither am I awake. I just need to lie down. After breakfast, we sent Q to the bus station as he has plans to go to Quebec City with his friends later today. I really want to go back to the hotel. Am not enjoying the weather outside, it is literally hot now. J went out to the shopping mall nearby, Rideau Centre which is the largest shopping mall in Ottawa to buy some stuffs. And I am laying on my bed at all angles but could not sleep neither can I sit or stand.
After the walk and shower, we had dinner at Supply and Demand. J drove there and 90% of the time (to and fro) I have no idea what happened. Seriously, like my physical and soul are lapsing 60 seconds from each other. The dinner at Supply and Demand was beautiful. We had our orders at the corner of their bar with all the fresh selection of seafood and bakes which are produced in Canada. The delicious fresh Oysters, bun and butter, and the salad are my favorites in the menu. Apart from enjoying the food and atmosphere, I did not talk much just now. Firstly, my brain is clearly shutting down although my mouth and fingers are working themselves out. As you all know, normally I will talk so much and ask questions whenever I chat with you guys (including with those people I do not like or not interested in), but not this one. Seriously if this was a date, my date will definitely not call me again. A fact.
We just reached the capital city of Canada. Firstly, I have no intention to set my foot here as it did not cross my mind to learn more about the capital city of Canada. I was more interested to know about the Quebec region since I came across pictures of beautiful tree houses and views in Quebec forest in winter. Apart from that, my initial plan was only to visit Montreal for a week to meet J. But then she suggested we stayed overnights at this place. That is when I revamped all my schedule.
It is nearly 3pm now. The journey from downtown Montreal was supposed to be only two hours. We left around eleven in the morning and this trip turns out to be a four hours journey. There was a massive traffic jam due to the expressway closure. By the way, the rental car from Enterprise-Rent-A-Car at Delta Hotel Marriott was awesomely luxury and huge. I booked the Hyundai Avante but they gave us a new Ford Fush 2019. This is the first time I used this company's service and thumbs up. I cannot wait to try driving my dream car, Jeep Wrangler in British Columbia. (Side Note: I tried to test drive Jeep Wrangler in Singapore but it was the smaller version. I assume they do not carry the larger models.) The check-in at the Fairmont Le Chateau Laurier hotel was smooth. The front desk staff was super generous. He gave us an upgrade to a deluxe room, the room which initially I wanted to book but J prefers back to basic. The upgrade was so cool which is just nice since we have additional guest with us at the last minute, J's friend from France. I gave a last minute decision he can join us for the night. Apart from he seems to be a nice person, it is mainly because we reached too late while his bus to Montreal will leave at 5pm. Anywayyyy.... this room is so beautiful and luxurious. The cot we requested for Q was also good and looks comfortable for him. There are 2 toilets, one with the bath and another is a common luxury toilet. Now, I do not regret agreeing to J's suggestion to stay in this hotel. A side note --- I thought this will be awkward. I have never shared hotel rooms with friends except with Min Min during our Secondary School Thailand's trip 20 years ago. Oh wait, now I remember. I did stay with another secondary sch classmate, Reena, when we visited Johor Bahru. And my favorite was with my favorite person, A, in Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Anyway, I chose who I want to be with so back-off. These were great! We are leaving now to find something to eat for lunch, walk around and check out the parliament building. J knows this place very well and will be leading us.
We are heading to dinner in awhile, probably around 8pm. J said she will bring us to the Village (LGBT/Gay Village) to buy something and we will have dinner at a tacos restaurant.
Wow..total steps today.. 21,000++. Woweets. Can you believe it?
Before the night ends, we had our dinner at a place which serves Spanish food, El Camino. I love the ambience of the restaurant + bar. Cosy and with bar like seats and privacy. The taco was nice, fits my craving for this folded slices since few months ago. After dinner, we walked and continued walking to places where I will never go if I am alone. Too quiet and dark. This part of the sentence I have no idea where to place it in my write-up but I need to remember this. A woman carried me for the first time. It was a dare thing which I cannot believe she could carry me, twice. You guys know how heavy I am. But J did it! We are already in our hotel room now. Meanwhile, I could feel that the jetlag imbalance chemical in my body is starting to react. I should log off now before I blabbered something else on my blog.
